During his PhD with Georg Keller at the Friedrich Miescher Institute, Pawel worked on how visual and motor-related input is integrated in the mouse visual cortex to signal deviations from expected visual flow due to self-motion. In the Ölveczky lab, he is interested in differentiating the sensory contexts for which sensorimotor integration in cortex becomes important for controlling movement.
