I obtained my PhD in Neuroscience at SUNY Upstate Medical University with Wei-Dong Yao, where I studied the prefrontal neurophysiological mechanisms underlying loss of empathy in a mouse model of C9ORF72-associated behavioral-variant frontotemporal dementia. As a postdoctoral fellow in the Uchida and Ölveczky labs, I am interested in understanding the dopaminergic circuit mechanisms associated with social abnormalities in autism.
