Gerald Pho is a postdoctoral fellow in the lab. As a PhD student with Mriganka Sur at MIT, he investigated neural circuits underlying perceptual decision-making in mice using population calcium imaging, optogenetics, and computational analysis. In the Ölveczky lab he is interested in uncovering computational principles underlying motor learning using long-term recordings, causal manipulations, and high-dimensional behavioral analysis to inform circuit-based reinforcement learning models of behavior.
