One of the winners of the Star Family Challenge

Professor Bence Ölveczky has been named one of the winners of the third annual Star Family Challenge for Promising Scientific Research, a faculty research award program established at the suggestion of James A. Star ’83 and chaired by Doug Melton, Xander University Professor of Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology. The Star Family Challenge provides seed funding for exciting new projects in the natural and social sciences, and this year’s winners will be presenting their work and inviting questions and discussion from the audience at a special event in the Faculty Room in University Hall on Tuesday, April 12 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. Refreshments will be provided. Faculty and students from all disciplines are very welcome and encouraged to attend.
